Worcester Bosch boiler error EA caused by Condensate Soakaway Container not Draining

After 4 British Gas Engineers have been looking for the issue causing the EA error code on my Worcester Bosch 29CDI boiler, and the last British Gas final solution was to drill a hole at the top of the pipe outside to let the air out, I checked that the water could drain away from the Lime Condensate Soakaway Container and as it was buried in clay with no extra sand or stones it was blocked.

My fix was to dig in a drainage pipe from the soak-away container to my lawn also to add sand and soil then re-cover with the removed clay and slabs.

test your soil to see if water can drain away or is the clay stopping it?
