Ideas, some are useful, some not so much: Manoj Bhargava at TEDxUNPlaza
View more talks at www.TEDxUNPlaza.com
To put it lightly, Manoj Bhargava took the road less traveled along his route to success as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and Founder & CEO of 5-hour Energy. As a native of Lucknow, India, he moved to the United States at the age of fourteen, completing his high school education in 1972. After that, Manoj attended Princeton University, where he dropped out after completing one year. Instead, he dedicated many years to a spiritual education in both India and the United States. Manoj Bhargava is among the billionaires who contractually pledged to give at least half of their wealth to charity. Two of Bhargava's initiatives are hospitals for the poor, and education for disadvantaged women in rural areas.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
