The Rise of the Smart Patient | Nikki Cohn-Byrd | TEDxWartburgCollege
What if you have the power to influence the healthcare system? Nikki Cohn-Byrd will take you through the possibilities and opportunities when you as a consumer have greater access and control over your own health data. Nikki Cohn-Byrd is from Phoenix, AZ. A global issue she would like to resolve is the quality of and access to healthcare. A person figure she looks up to is a lot of people. She says: “Elon Musk for being as smart and forward thinking as I'd want to be, Julie Yoo of A16Z for being a figurehead in healthcare VC, and all the female actresses and musicians who I'm living a creative life vicariously through!” Her top bucket list item is travelling to as many places as she possibly can. She says: “And weirdly...both the largest and SMALLEST towns in every state of the US.” Fun fact: she loves horses, dogs, and pretty much all animals! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
