Phragmipedium kovachii at Alto Mayo Protected Forest (natural protected area)
It is an endemic species of the montane cloud forests of the Peruvian jungle, (San Martín and Amazonas) considered one of the most beautiful in the world for its size and beauty. It is distributed between 1,600 to 1,900 meters above sea level.
