The 2024 BMW M3 CS is a limited-edition, high-performance variant of the M3 lineup, designed to offer an enhanced driving experience with increased power and reduced weight. Under the hood, it features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that delivers 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, surpassing the M3 Competition's 503 horsepower. This power boost is achieved by raising the engine's boost pressure from 24.7 psi to 30.5 psi.

The M3 CS comes exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. Drivers can select from various drive modes, including a "2WD" mode for a traditional rear-wheel-drive experience. BMW claims the M3 CS can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 188 mph when equipped with the M Driver's package.

To enhance performance and agility, BMW has incorporated extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the M3 CS. Components such as the roof, hood, front splitter, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler are made from CFRP, contributing to a weight reduction of approximately 75 pounds compared to the M3 Competition. Additionally, a titanium rear silencer further reduces weight by over eight pounds.

The chassis has been specifically tuned for the M3 CS, featuring unique anti-roll bars, retuned dampers, and revised camber settings to provide a more focused driving experience. Standard equipment includes six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers with M-compound brakes, with optional carbon-ceramic brakes available for enhanced stopping power. The M3 CS rides on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, with the option to equip Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 high-performance tires at no additional cost.

Inside, the M3 CS features power-adjustable heated seats upholstered in Merino leather, combining black with Mugello red accents and distinctive contrast stitching. Unlike the M4 CSL, the M3 CS retains its rear seats, offering practicality alongside performance. The interior also boasts a 12.3-inch iDrive infotainment screen paired with a 14.9-inch digital gauge cluster, integrating features such as the M Drift Analyzer and M Lap Timer to assist drivers in tracking their performance metrics.

Production of the 2024 BMW M3 CS is set to begin in March 2024, with a starting price of $119,695. As a limited-production model, availability is expected to be constrained, so interested buyers should contact their local BMW dealerships for more information.
