The No PR Act (No Politics in Pandemic Recovery Act) was just proposed by Schumer (Democrat) in Congress. This disallows Trump or Pence from using tax-payer funds for advertising, essentially. On the same day, hundreds are posting on Twitter that they’ve received a letter from the White House, signed by Donald Trump, informing them of their stimulus payment. The CARES act did establish a 15-day notification period to recipients via the mail to dispute errors if the stimulus payment was incorrect.

Also, the IRS has updated information for “Payment Status not Available,” Basically - you want to use IRS2Go to track the status of your most-recent tax return and wait. This error is commonly occurring because information hasn’t been processed yet. The $0 input now works as well in addition to please apply my tax refund to my future tax liability. Veterans and those on of you on Supplement Security Income (SSI) have until May 5 to claim your eligible children. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until you file your 2020 tax returns.

When it comes to the PUA (Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program), your income is generally self-certified. Also, if your income is higher (to certain limits), you may receive a boost to your state’s portion. The $600 always stays $600, but your state UI pay might get adjusted up if your income WAS above a certain threshold. Which means you could see $800 per week or more applying the PUA. Remember to apply if you’re even partially unemployment / hours have been cut!
