Karkardooma Community Centre Food Walk I Juicy Chicken Tikka I Best BURGER I CHOCO VOLCANO SIZZLER
Today's episode our foodie duo Rohan and Prithvi joins Anubhav Sapra and Harshit for an amusing food tour at Karkarduma Community Centre in East Delhi. It is basically a cluster of popular and new eating joints frequented by both residents of this area and the visitors alike.
Rohan who lives nearby has some favourite food destinations in this area and hence he is the guide for today's gastronomic tour.
First they visited Bunty Dhaba for their famed malai soya chaap. It was a creamy and flavourful dish made of tandoor grilled soya chaap that had some smoky notes.
After those rich and spicy soya chaap Rohan decided to treat them to some light steamed momo at Chinese Kitchen. We opted for the classic chicken momos. Except for the slightly undercooked end, these juicy momo were quite delicious.
Next Rohan took them to Punjabi Chicken Point in Parmesh Complex. It is his go to place for chicken tikka and mutton seekh kebabs. With the right amount of spices, seasoning and grilling, the chicken tikka tasted really awesome.
From there they headed to the legendary Shiv Tikki Wale to try their best selling aloo burger. The Indian Style burger loaded with a great potato patty, spiced paneer slices, vegetables sliced and seasonings was a complete stunner.
Continuing the food journey, they arrived at the nicely decorated outlet of Chote Lal Caterers. To get an idea of their flavours and taste, they decided to try the very basic golgappes. Unfortunately, due to soggy puris and not so zesty flavoured water they were quite a disappointment.
The group then headed to Urban Punjab to binge on some non veg treats like methi murg and Afghani Chicken. Though the dishes looked inviting, their taste failed to impress us. One was too sweet while the other was quite dry.
Finally Rohan led them to their final destination which was the iconic Classic Ice Cream Parlour. Since their brownies are highly reputed, they settled for the Choco Brownie Sizzler. The dessert served on a hot sizzler plate looked truly dramatic due to all the good things. But it was the decadent brownies that won everyone's heart.
Inspite of the surfeit of food, it was a fun experience with the team.
