Ludovic de Saint Sernin has captivated the fashion world with his sensual designs defined by chainmail dresses and lace-up briefs. His 'sex-sells' approach made him one of Paris' emerging talents to watch. Still, it shocked the industry last year when he was appointed the new creative director of Ann Demeulemeester. Questions quickly arose on whether the designer could translate his sultry vision with the dark, drapey romanticism of the cult-favourite Belgian brand. With his debut taking place as part of the Paris Fashion Week A/W 23 shows, Sernin presented a a collection rife with references.
