The natural world has forever been in a state of flux, with species continually going extinct, and others coming into existence. There’s no doubt, though, that far more are now being lost forever at a greater rate, and this is almost entirely a result of human activity. In the past 100 years alone, it's believed that as many as 500 species have completely vanished from the wild, but these are also some of the first to have been preserved forever by the availability of cameras. It's time, then, to take a closer look at 15 last known photos of animals that went extinct.
