"Explore Japan" project aims to revitalize the local economy and improve tourist etiquette

Fujinomiya City has been facing issues with tourist etiquette, including littering and noise. To address these challenges, we developed “Explore Japan,” a multilingual quiz app that teaches local manners in a fun, game-based format. Featuring quiz content based on real feedback from residents and offering discount coupons from local businesses as rewards for high scores, the app aims to both raise tourist awareness and stimulate the regional economy. It is also suitable for educational use, such as school trips. The project envisions future expansion to Mt. Fuji-area destinations and beyond, promoting a sustainable tourism model across Japan.
