Lenovo Legion Y520 RAM and M2 SSD upgrade and installation -- Samsung 970 Pro

In this video I show you guys how I upgraded my Lenovo Legion Y520 to a 1 TB Samsung 970 Pro SSD and from 16 GB of RAM to 32 GB. The confusing part about this upgrade is the fact that you are replacing the functional boot drive in the laptop, so you cant install your new SSD by just putting it into the laptop and transferring your files over from one SSD to the other. But you can do this with the help of a M.2 to USB adapter that allows both SSDs to be recognized by the machine at the same time. Once in this situation the cloning of the boot drive and subsequent physical installation are pretty straightforward.
