Behind the scenes at HCME’s factories in The Netherlands

Recent renovations and developments at the Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) factories in Amsterdam and Oosterhout have enhanced efficiency, safety and quality. The changes at both locations bring numerous benefits to employees, as well its authorised dealer network and Hitachi owners throughout Europe.

The Oosterhout mini and compact excavator factory was renovated and reopened this summer.

As part of the upgrade, a state-of-the-art, semi-automatic assembly line has been installed, as well as new equipment and paint booths.

“The renovation of the factory was necessary to help us grow further, and will enable us to produce more than 7,000 machines per year, according to market demand,” says the factory’s General Manager, Marco Verhoef.
