How Phillipa was scammed by travelling con men

Phillipa thought she was hiring a genuine business to clean and repaint her roof, but it was a scam.
Travelling con men pressure home owners into paying cash up front for maintenance work, then disappear leaving behind poor or incomplete work. Consumer Affairs Victoria works in partnership with Crime Stoppers Victoria to raise awareness of this scam, and to educate consumers on how to avoid being conned.
