Pride and Prejudice: Meryton Assembly, Dance 3

This is one of my favorite dance scenes from a Jane Austen film adaptation. I love how it captures the energy and fun of the dance, and clearly shows how young people in this period partied! :) This, of course, is from the 2005 adaptation directed by Joe Wright, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen.

The tune is the same as that for the dance Young Widow, and the movements they're doing in this clip are very similar to how Young Widow is danced.

I don't know of a recording of this exact version from the movie, but there are other recordings of the tune Young Widow, because the dance is still taught today.
