Platinum wrap ring with 55 brilliants - platinum ring

In this video I show how a rolled profile is turned into a ring with 55 brilliants. The starting material for the ring is 22 grams of platinum 960 alloyed with 4% copper.
I designed and made this ring for my camp.
The cost of making a wrap ring is 470 euros for the production of the ring plus material and setting the gemstones. For the wrapped ring in the video, that is 470 euros plus platinum (approx. 800 euros), plus stones (approx. 710 euros), plus labor costs for setting (450 euros), total price for the ring approx. 2,430 euros. The exact price depends on the daily price of platinum.
I often make these rings on customer order in yellow or white gold, as well as in silver - with or without stones. You are welcome to supply your own material (of course there are no material costs in this case).
It is often asked whether you can change the ring size later? Yes, you can (I can do that :-) Basically, you can change the size of any ring - it's ultimately just a question of effort). In the video it becomes clear that the ring only obtains its “dense” shape when it is expanded. Therefore, a slight ring expansion is quite feasible. Granted, downsizing is a bit more involved, but doable. In this case, I remove the appropriate amount of material from the lower part of the ring and then solder the ring back together. The open ends are then finely reworked until the connection is not or only minimally visible.
