Is it possible to inspect the orientation of a wheel?

Yes, it is possible. Measuring the angle of a plane in order to record the orientation of the wheel, manually is a time-consuming and error-prone task. The inspection is detailed oriented hence causes labor fatigue.

In this video, a setup of machine vision is shown with a wheel to record its orientation. The angle between the planes i.e. a reference plane and the wheel plane is recorded by the vision system. You can see how easily and quickly the angle is being found out and the orientation is defined. Also, changing the orientation of the wheel show the real-time change in the angle between the planes.
