I unknowingly bought a fake dyson air wrap online and thru this process, learnt how to tell a real from a fake.

Before you pay, make sure you ask the seller for these:
1. photo of the power on switch
2. video of the filter cover snapping close. This is to test that the magnetic closure is active
3. photo of wire
4. photo of label
5. photo of filter
6. photo of qr code in barrels
