Pradhanmantri - Pradhanmantri: Even after winning polls, Sonia did not become PM in 2004

"I will not become Prime Minister," just few words which changed the entire scene and expectation when Sonia Gandhi refused the Prime Ministership of the country after winning Lok Sabha polls of 2004, defeating the BJP and its "India Shining" campaign.

Sonia was from Italy and married to former Prime Minister and daughter-in-law of Indira Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi came in politics after death of Sanjay Gandhi.

She never wanted Rajiv Gandhi to become PM of India after death of then PM Indira Gandhi.

Sonia actively came in politics in 1997 when she became party chief.
