Let’s take a quick jaunt through Swedish history, from the ice age to the Viking age; the rise of monarchy, the Kingdom’s struggles to control the Baltic and find it’s place in the world. We’ll find out how a French soldier came to found the current dynasty and how interconnected Sweden is to the other Scandinavian monarchies. All leading to the 50 year reign of Carl XVI Gustaf and a view to the future reigns of Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle.
