No Groceries this MONTH!!

Not buying groceries this MONTH! This month is the Three Rivers Challenge by my friend Jessica @threerivershomestead where she challenges us homesteaders, gardeners, and bulk buyers to live off of our food stores for the month of January. You make the rules! But the point is to use what you've stored away. Don't save it. Use it!

Butternut Squash Casserole
(Ingredients)
1 butternut squash
2 cups brown rice
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tbsp each dried oregano, thyme, basil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 pint canned turkey with broth
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Blackberry Pie Filling
(Ingredients)
1 quart canned blackberries in syrup
3 tbsp cornstarch

Split Pea Soup
(ingredients)
2 cups each diced onion, carrot, celery
2 cups diced ham
1 ham bone
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1-1 1/2 lb dry split peas
2 quarts water
