Microsoft shares hit record high after hiring ousted OpenAI founders
Microsoft shares hit a record high after the company hired ousted OpenAI founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, according to CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski.
Several OpenAI employees are threatening resignation if the board is not sacked and the ousted founders are not reinstated.
“Sam Altman and Greg Brockman have been taken on by Microsoft – they’re going to be leading the AI charge for that organisation,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia.
“Microsoft shares are up by about 2.2 per cent hitting a record high in the process.”
