Australian Jewish community calls for immediate release of hostages in Israel-Hamas conflict

Members of Australia's Jewish community have called for the immediate and unconditional release of 200 hostages kidnapped by Hamas.

The Executive Council of Australian Jewry launched the #SetThemFree campaign on Thursday.

The group gathered in Sydney with some members of the Jewish community whose family members and friends had been affected by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

Sydney resident Michal who had six of her family members held hostage by Hamas made an emotional plea on Thursday for the terrorist group to release the people they have kidnapped.

“To the media and politicians there should be one question out there to Hamas when are you going to release our families, our children, our sons, our daughters our grandparents,” she said.
