James O’Brien looks at the contradiction at the centre of Donald Trump’s Iran strategy, warning that “he will claim victory even when no victory has been achieved” as the US now turns to allies for help in the Strait of Hormuz.

It comes as Prime Minister Keir Starmer says the UK will not be drawn into a "wider war" over Iran and he is "working with allies" on a viable plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
