The Multipolar World Theory
This video, part five of Alexander Dugin’s book, presents the multipolar world theory, which proposes that civilizations, not nation-states or individuals, are the primary actors in international relations. This framework rejects Western totalitarianism and liberal hegemony, advocating instead for a system in which each civilization operates according to its own unique cultural, religious, and political laws. In this model, supreme authority rests with the “strategic pole” or “prince,” whose legitimacy is derived from internal traditions rather than external democratic norms. The theory also calls for economic pluralism, suggesting that “large regions” should strive for self-sufficiency and use regional currencies to break free from the structures of global capitalism. Furthermore, diplomacy is redefined as a sacred dialogue among intellectual elites who employ social anthropology and traditional philosophy to understand the meanings of civilizations. Ultimately, the TMW movement seeks to replace the current world order with a multipolar system that preserves historical diversity and subordinates material interests to spiritual and social values.
