Copilot auto model selection is now generally available in GitHub Copilot CLI for all Copilot plans. As published, on April 17th, auto model selection uses Copilot to choose the most efficient model on your behalf. Auto model selection is dynamic and provides reliable access to favorited models while mitigating rate limits.

Routing to various models, like GPT-5.4, GPT-5.3-Codex, Sonnet 4.6, and Haiku 4.5, is based on established plans and policies, such as...
Transparency: See which model was used directly in the Copilot CLI.
Stay in control: Switch between auto and any specific model at any time.
Respects your policies: Auto honors all administrator model settings.

Azure Functions runtime v3 was retired on December 13th, 2022. As part of ongoing efforts to reduce reliance on legacy infrastructure, and focus investments on supported platforms, Azure will enforce this retirement for Linux Consumption–based Function Apps on runtime v3. After September 30th, 2026, Function Apps using runtime v3 on Linux Consumption will no longer start or process executions, and existing deployments in this configuration will stop functioning.

To avoid service disruption, customers must migrate affected apps to Azure Functions runtime v4 before the retirement date.
