Kreese Drops BIG Terry Silver HINT in Season 2 and We All Missed it - Cobra Kai Explained

Did anyone else catch that in Cobra Kai season 2 when Kreese sits down with Johnny Lawrence to talk about his old war buddy who gave him a job that he eventually turned down? Johnny mentions the trip to Tahiti, which was 32 years ago as a collective of things he thinks Kreese might have lied about too. That trip was a gift from Terry Silver during Karate Kid 3 when Daniel (Ralph Macchio) fought Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan). I think Silver helped Kreese with a job and something might have happened that caused Kreese to choose shelters over going back to Silver for help.
If this was Silver that Kreese was referring to, then what happened? Did they have a falling out? Did Silver go somewhere far away? Did Kreese have a hard time doing the jobs for moral reasons?
I hope Cobra Kai Season 3 will give us new explanations on Terry Silver and Kreese as we develop Johnny and Daniel's backstory...and hopefully, Miyagi's through Chozen!
