Old Rusty Butcher Knife Restoration

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project! I found this old rusty butcher knife at flea market, as usual. Price was low: USD $1. For the first look, knife had hard view, very rusty blade + very short tang. Year of issue probably 1970–85. I removed all rusty from knife via rusty remover liquid. After via sandpaper removed old black color from blade. Due to the tang of knife was very short. I made decision increase the length with a bolt-screw with size diameter 8.8 mm. I cut the bolt head and divided it. Then used two screws to connect to the main tang.
With first wood handle I got a fail, due to my file was very deep and I get a hole in handle. In second time I successful finished it. The knife handle was impregnation with linseed oil. I hope you enjoy this restoration video.
