The compulsion to escape from the pressures of the modern world to imaginary utopias has long been a lucrative selling point for urban developers and is a true phenomenon in many cities in Africa. The rise in the number of millionaires has led to property boom as they search for their own little ‘utopias’. 20. Cocody ( Abidjan) - Ivory Coast
This is one of the neighbourhoods to live in for the jet set and elite of Ivory Coast; Cocody has been referred to as the ‘Beverly Hills of Abidjan’ for several reasons. As the home to the cultural elite, embassies, and expats of prominence, the area also offers some of the most spectacular views in the city and is surrounded by other areas that are currently vying to be the next neighbourhood of note in Abidjan. La Marsa is a coastal town in far north eastern Tunisia near the capital Tunis. La Marsa is a beachfront suburb known for its corniche, shopping, bars and cafes. It is the most famous cemetery in the city where great people were buried. It is popular with foreign diplomats and extremely wealthy Angolans.

Asokoro District is home to the Nigerian presidential complex, Nigerian National assembly, the Supreme Court and brags of the best roads and streets in Nigeria.
