Wasting money on used parts

Round 2 of fixing the transmission in this 1991 Chevy 6.2L diesel did not go so well. Before the start of this channel I replaced the front seal in the transmission only to have it fail one week later. Naturally I did the right thing and stuck the truck in the back yard for 2 years and just finally got a good used transmission for it. However this transmission turned out to be junk and I didnt realize it until it was too late.
