Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee: Swing out tyre carrier build: Land and Lore Photograph

I needed a swing out tyre carrier for my Jeep WJ/WG Grand Cherokee since after going to larger tyres they would not fit in the wheel well in the back and I want to use that space for other gear anyway.
There is really nothing much available of the shelf here in Australia for the WJ so my only option was to make it myself, as a retired metal fabricator and welder this was no big deal however it was not easy without a workshop. I did manage it just fine and the end result was well worth it.
More build videos to come including a sliding fridge mount, cargo barrier and auxiliary battery relocation and associated electrical upgrade just to name a few.

I still have a few other projects in the works however 2019 and 2020 were not the best of years for many reasons so I just did not get to do anything other than regular maintenance.
2021 is looking to be a good year but it is taking me a bit to catch up, please bare with me.
