ARK The Center Speedrun | Former World Record | 1:15:05

It's been a while, not gonna lie. Here we have a new world record on The Center map as again, there's no world record TO beat. Some things have changed since the last time I've done a run and talked about everything so here are a few updates.

I haven't been able to post a while because life got a bit busy with school and all that. I've also been struggling with a lot of crap in my own head so that's great. I haven't really had too much time to speedrun but with being quarantined and all that I've had enough time at home to get this out. I told you all I was planning on running Aberration sometime soon but that was close to 10 months ago at this point and I'm sorry about that. I do want to follow through on that promise and I had the whole thing routed, the only issue is that I never had the time to do it and since then I forgot the run. I might look into the run sometime in the future but I can't promise it'll come out before any other maps like Ragnarok. And with the first world record coming on its "birthday" I've been more determined to get something else put out there for all of your guy's entertainment. So I think I can say it's safe to hope for another run coming soon. But here we've got a new world record on The Center at a decent time of 1:15:05, setting a world record considering there's yet to be better/any other.

Finally, in my original world record run for The Island, I got a lot of hate for having high stats for whatever reason. And apparently the way I "made it clear" that it didn't matter made me sound like an angry 8-year-old, and for that, I apologize. As things were changing, there was one big change I was unaware of for a while afterward. The lead moderator of the ARK speedrun categories stepped down from being a moderator, leaving me to be the lead mod. This makes it seem like I could've set my own rules for the runs, but I'll just say once that I haven't edited them since he left nor will I ever. He may be gone but his rulesets will stay as they are, only renamed. We now have regular ARK runs, like this one, and official rate runs. If anyone wants to say my rates are too high, I understand, but I'm preserving what was originally given and I'm sorry you feel otherwise. Feel free to complain, just know if it isn't logical, I won't reply. If you give a proper argument or you have genuine concerns I will always answer any questions about the run or the rates. I care about your feedback, I just have learned to filter out useless hate. I won't let myself seem as rude as I might've been.

I hope you guys enjoy this run, I got bored one day, researched and routed in about 3-4 hours and threw this video together the next day. It can be improved, but for now, this is where it stands. I think I'm going to focus on getting at least one run per map before redoing any maps I've already done.

I really do appreciate the people out there giving me genuine feedback, you all really do help me with this kinda stuff. I've learned some tricks from you all and I'm excited to use these in my next runs. Thanks to everyone who left their helpful comments.
