Bug Out Overland Vehicle | Are You Ready?

We consider ourselves #commonsensepreppers. If 2020 taught us all anything, it's that you need to be ready and prepared for the unexpected!

Yes, it's impossible to be 100% prepared for every bug out scenario, whether it be a zombie apocalypse, natural disaster, or society-changing event. However, making plans and being ready is something everyone should consider. With that being said, do you have a #bugoutvehicle that is ready to get you and your family out of harms way? Is it properly maintained and prepared to keep you safe and help you all get out as quickly as possible? When building out our #overlandingrigs, this question came to mind and we want to share with you some of the things we have put together to be #BugOutReady!

Some easy ways you can transform your everyday driver to a bug out vehicle is with simple everyday carry gear (EDC). This includes easy grab and go bag and/or boxes that contain essential items needed for survival and living off-grid, when the Sh*t Hits the Fan!

Some of the EDC items that we carry in our vehicles include:
-Minimum of 4 gallon of water per vehicle (including our WaterPort and fresh drinking water)
-First-aide Kit
-Non-perishable snacks/food
-Flashlights and/solar lights
-Extra batteries
-Heavy duty blanket
-Knives, an axe, multi-purpose tool, and more knives
-Firestarters
-Mechanics tool set
-Tire repair kit/A can of Fix-A-Flat
-Duct Tape
-Recovery gear
-Traction boards

These are all items that anyone can pack in their vehicle to be prepared and ready for an emergency situation when you need to get out!

Although we believe we are relatively prepared for most bug out situations, we are constantly updating our vehicles to be more prepared and capable. In addition to our vehicles, we are both becoming more mentally prepared for the possibility of a bug out situation. Although we may poke fun at the thought of a Zombie Apocalypse, no matter where you live in this world, natural disasters are a reality. While we don't live our lives in fear, we do believe we can all do more to be prepared for the unexpected.
