Driving from Niagara Falls to New York City

Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 - Drove from Niagara Falls, New York down to New York City. Took I-190 south down to Buffalo before connecting with US-20 by East Aurora. US-20 turned out to be a good alternative I-90, lots of relaxing views of green pastures, rural NY farms, massive windmills, small towns and light traffic. Took US-20 East to Avon, before connecting with I-390 south and transferring to I-86 east which eventually became US-17 towards Bear Mountain. From Bear Mountain, connected with the Palisades parkway towards NYC via the George Washington bridge. Uneventful, but relaxing drive except for the bad accident on the Palisades parkway that backed up traffic for 30 minutes.
