STORYTELLING in AFRICA. Part 2 "OF THE SOIL"

In September 2024, in Limbe, Cameroon, we had the Storytelling & Participatory Evaluation Retreat, named “Leveraging Indigenous Heritage for Participatory and Innovative Evaluation”.
This was a SOUTH-SOUTH-NORTH collaboration initiative between three main partners, the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval), the Community of Practice and Learning for Participatory Evaluation (EvalParticipativa) and eBASE AFRICA. The main purpose was to document and learn from Africa’s rich storytelling traditions and Latin America participatory approaches in evaluation.
The Storytelling series present artists of both the new and old generation, academicians, researchers and the local community who show how storytelling and evaluation can be connected in different ways from data collection and analysis to the dissemination of the knowledge generated.
EvalParticipativa is committed to identify and document indigenous approaches for inclusive and participative evaluation, connecting South-South-North experiences, methods and learnings.
