Water must remain at the heart of urban planning

The UN’s Special Envoy for Water Retno Marsudi said sustainable urban development must place water policy at the centre of housing and city planning.

In an exclusive interview with AnewZ at the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, she described water as the ‘invisible foundation’ of urban design and called for stronger integration of water issues into policies at all levels of government.
