DOMORA - in St. Michael Archangel of Domora Medieval road and ruins

Nella Valle dei Grilli una antica via medievale permetteva ai viandanti di allora di superare i monti tra San Severino e Camerino. Ad opera dei Benedettini fu costruito nell’XI sec. un monastero dedicato dapprima a San Michele Arcangelo di Domora e successivamente a Sant’Eustachio. La struttura si distinse per l’intensa attività ospitaliera, di alloggio dei viandanti e per i prodigi offerti dallo stillicidio dell’acqua delle grotte, connesse con la struttura.
Oggi ne rimangono solo le rovine.
In questo luogo di magia e pace ho avuto il privilegio di suonare la chitarra, tra il frusciare dell’erba, il gocciare di acqua ed il canto degli uccelli.

In the Valle dei Grilli an ancient medieval road allowed travelers of the time to cross the mountains between San Severino and Camerino. A monastery dedicated first to St. Michael the Archangel of Domora and later to St. Eustace was built in the 11th century by the Benedictines. The structure distinguished itself for its intense hospitable activity, accommodation of wayfarers and the wonders offered by the trickling of water from the caves, connected with the structure.
Today only its ruins remain.
In this place of magic and peace I had the privilege of playing the guitar, amidst the rustling of the grass, the trickles of water and the singing of birds.
