Multimillionaire Tim Gurner has been forced to apologise after he called tradies lazy and suggested unemployment needed to be much higher.

It's not the first time he has courted controversy. In 2017, he told 60 Minutes young people needed to stop whining about not being able to afford a house and should instead start saving and stop wasting their money on $40 avocado toast.
