How Expensive is Brasov, Romania?

The city of Brasov is Romania's 7th largest city with a metro area of 382,000 people. Brasov and surrounding communities have many foreigners calling the region home due to the low cost of living and quality of life. The average US Retiree on Social Security receives $1,550 a month, and a couple on Social Security receives over $2,500 a month. A US Expat living on Social Security can expect a lower cost of living in Romania when compared to the living costs in the US.
