Day three traces Shanghai’s spectrum from blush-pink blossoms to raw concrete canyons.

We start among the cherry trees of Gucun Park, where spring petals drift across quiet lakes and cycle paths. The city noise drops away beneath arching branches alive with soft colour. Next comes the Jade Buddha Temple, beautiful although a lot of work is still to be done.

Afternoon brings us to 1000 Trees, a terraced complex that climbs like a hanging garden beside Suzhou Creek. More than a thousand living trees crown the balconies, framing pop-up galleries, cafés, and views of the skyline. We close the day inside 1933 Milfun, bridges criss-cross soaring atriums, spiral ramps cut through raw concrete, and a handful of boutiques now share space with shadows and echoing footsteps.
