My Amaryllis Bulbs REBLOOMED!!!!

DO NOT DISCARD of your AMARYLLIS BULBS....
I finally found the secret to reblooming Amaryllis bulbs.

If you are like me you love decorating your home over the holidays with Amaryllis bulbs (blooms). However it can get costly and secondly if you purchase from big box stores and grocery stores, you're often left with limited choices.

Well now that I know how to have my bulbs rebloom (trial and error)- this is a total game changer. Send me all the Amaryllis Bulb catalogues LOL!!!!

Here is the way I found to have success.

After the blooms are spent and the leaves turn yellow- trim off the foliage and treat the bulb as a regular house plant (do not overwater).

After your last frost date- plant the bulbs out in your garden or outdoor containers over the summer. The bulb will benefit from good compost.
If planting out in a container make sure you have good drainage.

In September dig out the bulbs- cut off greenery, wash away dirt and repot in clean potting soil. (Don't forget Amaryllis bulbs like it cozy- don't use a pot that's too big)

Store your potted bulb in a dark cool place (basement).

In November take your bulb out of storage and put it near a window for some indirect sunlight. Watch it grow.

Best of luck with your bulbs and now it's time to start looking at various varieties for next year! I feel like my collection will be growing.
