#35 You can’t mow a steep slope with a zero turn mower!! Challenge accepted

This is just how I mow. Use your own equipment at your own risk. Your safety is more important than nice looking grass!

Featuring the newest addition to my mowing arsenal: the Bad Boy ZT Elite. Using this mower I’m able to quickly and efficiently mow some of the steepest parts of my yard without much difficulty. It’s also super fast and pretty fun to drive. Yes, this is my first zero turn so the novelty of their speed and maneuverability is quite fresh.

Yes, it is possible to mow fairly steep slopes with a zero turn mower. The last slope in the video measures at approximately 40 degrees and I take it sideways without a whole lot of difficulty. But one must also have an “escape route” should the mower lose traction and careen down the slope. I am fortunate in that the steep areas around the house level out substantially before coming to any obstacles such as trees or the creek. Mowing around the pond is a different story for a different video. Please consider the characteristics of your individual application before attempting to mow a slope. This is not a guide or a “how to” video. It’s just me mowing my lawn. Make your own decisions for your own safety.
