Linear Dissolves in DaVinci Resolve [TUTORIAL] - How to Make Your Dissolves Photometric
When you receive a timelime with dissolves, if the client wants or if you think it's a good idea you can run your dissolves through Fusion and linearise them there. It's non-destructive, meaning you can still grade around it as before, and it'll look more like an in-camera change in exposure or like an old fashioned optical dissolve done with an optical printer. I hope you like this version of a dissolve and come to adopt it for your own work.

The Read Me might contain some useful info, but really you just need to go to "releases" on the right, scroll down to "assets" and download the file called "studio-config-v[whatever]_aces-v[whatever]_ocio-v[whatever].ocio". The latest one as of this video's uploading (ACES studio config v4.0.0 for ACES v2.0 and OCIO v2.5) doesn't work for me though, so you might want to try an earlier release instead. The latest one that works for me in most cases is v3.0.0 (studio-config-v3.0.0_aces-v2.0_ocio-v2.4.ocio), which is one release earlier. Be sure to open the assets drop down.
Addendum: You don't have to right click and select nodes through this whole drop-down menu; can press Ctrl + Space and that brings up a search bar, but it takes a while for it to load for me so I prefer to right-click instead.
