Douglas “HIPER” DC-3 (DC-4/C-54 P&W R-2000 Engines) N62CC Fullerton Airport to Chino Airport

A Huge Thank You to Barry for allowing me to fly in his incredible aircraft.
This is a Douglas “HIPER” DC-3 Yr. 1943 N62CC (Thank you to my wife Gail for ground footage)
Video also includes On-board footage, We departed Fullerton Airport and flew East over the 91 freeway past Corona, then flew around Lake Mathews for awhile before landing at Chino Airport.
This aircraft was built as a C-47 and then on Feb. 15, 1955 was converted by Pan American World Airways to a DC-3 Hiper Conversion, which removed the standard DC-3 P&W R-1830s engines to DC-4/C-54 P&W R-2000 Engines that included Modified Stainless Steel Cowlings and engine mounts from DC-4, also installed what they call is the “Crosswind Landing Gear” which is Heavyweight Landing Gear used by the Military on later versions of the C-47.
