Nathan Laube plays Maurice Duruflé - Prélude et Fugue sur le nom d'Alain, Op. 7

Nathan Laube performs Maurice Duruflé's beloved "Prélude et Fugue sur le nom d'Alain," Op. 7 (1942) as part of a recital recorded for the 43rd National Convention of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) held in Louisville, KY in July 2020. The entire performance from which this work is extracted was streamed for attendees of the NPM Convention on July 8, 2020.

The organ was built by the Steiner-Reck Inc. Organbuilders in 1983 as a large two-manual instrument with a fully mechanical action and pipe scalings modeled after Dom Bédos. It was enlarged with two 32' stops, a Trompette-en-Chamade on an added third manual, and the provision of mechanical sub-octave couplers for the Great and Swell in 1994 by Webber & Borne. The organ as recorded for this video contains 42 ranks over three manuals; several new ranks are planned to be added in 2020 to complete the third manual.
