They ran from Manhattan to Montauk (123 miles) to raise money for cancer research
A week ago, two Manhattanites embarked on an ambitious journey for a great cause.
Zoe Schaap and Lindsey Fritz ran from Manhattan to Montauk Point—a total of 123 miles—to raise money for cancer research.
The two began their journey last Thursday at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on the east side of Manhattan and finished their trek on Sunday on the East End.
Their goal was to raise $12,300. They nearly doubled it, raising over $23,000 and counting. All the proceeds are going to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
