Danielle Thom on Bust of an Unknown Woman

Danielle Thom, Research Curator for 'A World of Fragile Parts', talks about her favourite exhibit, Bust of an Unknown Woman, a 19th-century plaster bust after an original marble piece by Francesco Laurana (c.1470). 'A World of Fragile Parts' is the V&A's Special Project for the Applied Arts Pavilion in collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia, which runs until 27 November 2016. This exhibition explores the threats facing the preservation of global heritage sites and how the production of copies can aid in the preservation of cultural artefacts.
