Mercedes 2000 c230 (w202 chassis) service reset

How the reset the Mercedes service message with the + - 0 dash. Turn the key to the ON position which turns all the dash lights on. Push the 0 button 2 times quickly (within 4 seconds) and the service message will appear and flash. Now turn the key OFF. Push and HOLD the 0 button as you turn the key ON and KEEP HOLDING the 0 button until the service resets. This dash is common on many late 90's early 2000's C class Mercedes. This reset was done on a 2000 C230 Kompressor.
