Join me for an unforgettable adventure in the Arizona desert as I embrace the van life lifestyle in my fully converted 2003 GMC Savana box truck, which has become my cozy apartment on wheels! 🛻🌵 In this video, I'll take you along on a journey packed with challenges, unexpected repairs, urban camping, and an unforgettable punk rock show.

Day 1: Camping in the Desert Near Phoenix We kick things off by setting up camp in the scorching desert heat just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. You'll get a tour of my box truck setup, showing you how I’ve transformed this work vehicle into a mobile home, complete with all the essentials for surviving and thriving off the grid. I share tips for camping in extreme heat, staying comfortable, and making the most of life on the road.

Day 2: A Mobile Windshield Repair Adventure Day two comes with a twist! On my drive into Phoenix, my windshield suffered some damage, but no worries—my windshield gets replaced right at my campsite! Watch as the mobile repair service arrives in the middle of the desert to give my trusty truck a much-needed fix. It's proof that even in the wild, life finds a way to stay on track. Afterward, I hunt down what I believe to be the cheapest gas station in the entire Phoenix area to fuel up before moving on.

Shopping for Supplies and Recharging Next, it's time to restock my supplies. I head over to Walmart to pick up groceries and snacks for the rest of the journey. From there, I visit Planet Fitness for some strength training. The flexibility of having a gym membership while living on the road cannot be overstated—it’s a game-changer for van lifers! However, I don't just use the gym for a shower because I already have a shower in my box truck. After that, I return to my peaceful spot in the desert near Lake Pleasant Road and New River Roads to spend another quiet night under the stars. 🌌

Day 3: Prepping for a Punk Rock Show The next day, it’s another visit to Planet Fitness to train before heading into the city for an epic night of music. This time, I’m off to The Rebel Lounge to see legendary punk band Agnostic Front live in concert. 🎸🤘 Along the way, I navigate the challenges of urban camping, parking my box truck strategically to stay close to the venue and enjoy the show worry-free.

Final Leg: Transmission Troubles & Editing on the Go As the trip winds down, I start my journey back to Tucson. Along the way, I stop at a rest area on Interstate 10 to take care of a pressing maintenance issue—adding Lucas Stop Slip to my transmission to tackle the slippage I’ve been experiencing. It's all part of the van life adventure, where you're not just the driver but also the mechanic! While at the rest area, I take some time to edit some footage of an earlier adventure right from my mobile apartment. 📹✨
