For once, the attention of Diwalwal, Municipality of Monkayo and the entire province of Compostela Valley has been called for by no less than the president of the republic of the Philippines, Rodrigo Roa Duterte during his State of the Nation Address in the year 2018.

The president has expressed his dismay over the pollution and destruction of Naboc river and other rivers in the country for irresponsible mining on the mountains.
