Exploring Cape Verde's Island Culture | Over the Islands of Africa

Photographer Stéphane is on a hunt to capture the authenticity and soul of the Cape Verde Islands in his photographs. His aim is to explore the landscapes of the archipelago by land and by air, so he meets with fearless pilot Richard, taking a ride in his flying inflatable boat. Together they land on secluded beaches in defiance of the relentless winds, heading from the main island of Santiago to São Vicente, to Santo Antão and Sal. Along the way they meet guitar makers and musicians, distillers and fishermen.
